St. Mary’s Church

There has been a church in the village for many centuries, possibly since the 11th century and some of the existing building dates probably from the 13th century. Like many old churches the building has changed over the centuries, with parts rebuilt, extensions added and so on. The tower collapsed in 1824, but had been rebuilt by the following year.
